Welcome to my brand new website! I’ve been working on this for the past few weeks and I’m so happy to finally be able to share it. This is where I plan on displaying all of my artistic endeavors with the world.

5 Things I Love This Week

I get enthusiastic about things pretty easily. I’m going to take that enthusiasm and use it to share with y’all the many things that make me happy. Each week I’ll post a list of five things that I am loving. Let’s get this week started.

1. My free pair of glasses from Coastal.com

I know it seems to good to be true but right now Coastal.com is giving away their glasses to first time customers. FREE FRAMES AND LENS. Isn’t that crazy? I picked out a pair, entered in my prescription, and paid for shipping (about $8). They came about a week later and I adore them. I’ve always wanted pink glasses but never got them because I didn’t think they were sensible enough. However, for $8, they were the perfect choice. Also they are incredibly comfortable. I don’t know how long this promotion will last so make sure to jump on it soon!

2. The Sock Bun

I may be little bit late to this amazing hair trick but I am definitely making up for lost time. I have been wearing my hair in a sock bun almost everyday this past week. Here is the video that taught me how to shape my new favorite hairstyle.

3. Girls

While I do love the gender, I’m referring to HBO’s new TV show. Every episode so far has equal amounts of tenderness and hilarity. I’m in love with the characters and the writing on this show. Start watching now so you don’t have to play catch up when it becomes a huge hit.

4. Covers of “Can’t Help Falling In Love”

Words can’t describe how much I love this song. Here are two covers that will keep you singing the lyrics all day.

Ingrid Michaelson’s Cover

This cover was done by a guy whose Soundcloud username is FleetFoxesSing. Many people online have mistaken him for the actual Fleet Foxes. It turns out he is just a guy that does a lot of covers in the style of Fleet Foxes. Fine by me, especially when they are this beautiful.

5. This Mom-centric Video

What is this, the girliest list ever? I swear, I’m not constantly this feminine. I’ll make sure to mix it up a little more next week.

Nashville Public Library

So, the Nashville Public Library may have become one of my favorite places on earth. A group of friends and I went to the library and we spent hours just roaming the floors. All of us also went on somewhat of an instagraming spree. I just wanted a photo of every single detail in that building.

The Civil Rights Room was probably my favorite spot. As you walk in you are greeted by this quote from Martin Luther King Jr.

I also made sure to actually check out a book. I found one of E.E. Cumming’s books of poetry. This gem is what sold me on it.

How amazing is she? Pretty amazing. Promise is someone that I have looked up to professionally for years now. I’ve always adored her designs and taste. I’m going to brag about my roommate for a little bit. Not only is Lizzy kind and gorgeous but she also has super cool hobbies. One of which is blogging for a Nashville magazine focused on local food called Local Table. Her posts always brighten my day and they are great for anyone searching for a hot spot to eat in Nashville.

For one of her first posts Lizzy let me tag along with her to get breakfast at the Frothy Monkey. When we got our food Lizzy asked me to take some photos to include in her blog post. Here they are in all of their deliciousness!

I have been lusting over quilts the past few weeks. This triangle quilt is exactly the kind of quilt I want to own (and possibly make). I love how simple the triangles are and the colors are great. You can find out more about it from this blog post.

Breakfast for Dinner

Is there anything better than breakfast for dinner? At least when it comes to food? I rest my case. When my friends decided to get together and cook all of our favorites breakfast foods one night, I jumped at the chance to photograph them doing so. Mostly because I didn’t want to do any of the cooking. Hey I’m making memories for all of you guys! Anyway here are a few shots from that night. I already miss the smell of syrup.
